Before you book

What is Fascia Stretch Therapy?

Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) is a hands-on, table-based, assisted stretching method developed by Ann and Chris Frederick through the Stretch to Win Institute. The practitioner guides your body through a series of stretches while you relax on a treatment table, working through the body's fascia — the connective tissue that surrounds and penetrates muscles, joints, and organs.

What happens during a session?

Each 60-minute session opens with an assessment and a conversation about the areas of concern you want addressed that day. You then move to the treatment table, where Gregory guides you through a head-to-toe, full-body fascia stretch therapy session. Added attention is given to the specific areas you raised. You are an active participant — Gregory will ask you to breathe and occasionally contract or relax certain muscles, but your main job is to relax.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows a full range of movement — athletic wear such as shorts, sweatpants, leggings, and a t-shirt or tank top. You stay fully clothed throughout the session. If you wear shorts, compression shorts underneath are recommended if they are baggy.

Is it painful?

Fascia Stretch Therapy is designed to be pain-free. The method works with what the Stretch to Win Institute describes as "finesse, not force." Gregory communicates with you throughout the session to ensure you are comfortable, and the approach is meant to relax the nervous system rather than push through resistance. If you ever feel discomfort, you are encouraged to say so.

How long is a session and how much does it cost?

Each session is 60 minutes. The current rate is $120 per session.

How often should I come?

Every body is different. After your first session, Gregory will discuss a recommended frequency based on what he observed during your assessment and session. Some clients benefit from weekly visits, others from monthly maintenance. There is no required commitment — you book one session at a time.

Who is Fascia Stretch Therapy for?

Athletes of all ages are the primary audience for the practice. Members of the general population are welcome as well. If you have a body and want to move more freely, you are a candidate. Gregory's background in corrective exercise, athletic training, and sports performance informs how he works with each person.

Do you offer house calls?

Yes. House calls are available for an additional service charge that varies by location and distance. Contact Gregory at 512-730-9755 or greg@thestretchguru.com to discuss the details.

Where are sessions held?

In-person sessions are held at 11471 E Loop 1604 N, Universal City, TX 78148. Sessions are by appointment only — no walk-ins. House calls are available for an additional charge.

How do I book a session?

Sessions are by appointment only. You can reach Gregory three ways:

  • Call or text 512-730-9755
  • Email greg@thestretchguru.com
  • Send a request through the contact page

Gregory will contact you to confirm a date and time.

Is Fascia Stretch Therapy the same as massage?

No. FST is an assisted stretching method performed on a treatment table, with the practitioner moving your body through a series of stretches while you relax. It targets the fascia and joint capsule rather than working on muscle tissue through pressure. You stay fully clothed throughout the session. Gregory is a Fascia Stretch Therapy Practitioner (FSTP), not a massage therapist.
